Unemployed or afraid you may become Unemployed?
What if we could end unemployment with education (not the education you may be thinking)?
In the last few years, America has faced some of the toughest economic times and high unemployment rates. So that got me wondering, could this have all been avoided with financial knowledge? First, I wanted to educate myself about how many people are actually out of work so I pulled the most current Employment Situation report for the month of September. Here’s what it said:
In September, the unemployment rate held at 5.1 percent (7.9 million).
The report reflects little change since August, and network news portrays a positive outlook. This number doesn’t paint the whole picture. In actuality, this number doesn’t account for the other almost 8 million Americans who have stopped looking for a position altogether, or who are working part-time.
Ask yourself this question: If the subject of money were taught in school, would the unemployment rate (the real one) be where it is today? My answer would be no.
The financial knowledge I received at a very early age has gotten me to where I am today. A financial knowledge will teach you that you do not need to rely on the government or a regular 9-5 to survive, but that you can create wealth on your own because you understand how money works.
I’ve said that the only way to survive is to create options rather than wait for them to come to you. There are more options today than ever before and the world is more connected than ever before; you literally can create wealth from your kitchen table.
